I just don't have that right now, except maybe weekends. The dollhouse is sooo cute though. I just haven't really had many pics.

The kitchen is my spotlight right now. I kinda hated the sitting room thing, so i ripped out the wood floor and replaced it with this AWESOME tile flooring, which I'll make a tutorial soon. I also trimmed the floor where it meets the wall. I added cafe curtains and a pelmet to the window, and a pelmet thing to the bay window.

I've made some small furniture things. I made a french memory board and a non-working lamp. I went to Michael's and got this 1.00 dollar dresser for the bedroom upstairs.

Currently, I'm waiting for some curtains to dry (they're saturated in hairspray)

Still Shingling roof, added rear roof

Woo hoo, the shingling is coming along well. How I've done it is to do one side at a time. My major mistake is not using a template...because when I need to trim the shingles to fit against weird angles, it's always trial and error. And lots of error. I suggest to make a template of the roof right after it's punched out of the sheet, so you don't have to fiddle with the entire roof trying to make a template.

So far, ok.
I still need to add all the window trims and details, but that will come later, after the shingling. The house still needs another coat of green paint.

Yay! It looks really great.

Shingling seems like it won't take forever...just the trimming of it, to make it fit in places. Some people say it takes forever, but I think I can manage.
I also screwed up on staining the floors...oops. So I'm making some wood floors for the house out of paper. It's like wood floor printies, but not printed. Hahaha. It's a little too detailed, when viewed from the room. Like, it doesn't look very formal, more rustic. Lots of progress on the house. First off, I made some cute furniture.
There's a tutorial on www.letsbuildadollhouse.com that I used.

I also made a HUUUGE couch, that is the proper scale, but since this house is a cottage, and tiny, the couch is big. It's like trying to fit a couch into a closet.

Well, there it is. And that little doll. The mahogany table is one I purchased from the store, and I stained it cherry.

That bed in the back was simple. Just cover a little foam pad with fabric, put pleats on the piece of wood there, and then glue it all on. I'll make a tutorial...I guess.

I also added the trim for the house today...using hot glue. I decided to do that, since clamping it would be tricky if I used regular wood glue. See, my reasonings:

wood glue is strong, but needs clamping

the trim isn't gonna need to support weight

if the trim is just going to be "there," it doesn't need super strong bonding

So, I used hot glue on it.

Here's a pic.

The lighting is weird, so you need to angle your head to see the grille work. By the way, I still haven't got the door installed...I think I lost one of the casings.

My Orchid dollhouse...halfway finished

Woopee!
